God’s Word for Today: Sand. Have you ever felt like a grain of sand simply mixing in with the rest of the world? There are so many of us walking the face of this earth at this moment, it is amazing that we aren’t just simply lost as another grain of sand on the beach. From God’s view point, how would he ever be able to single us out as an individual?
Then, you can get into the proverbial grain of sand that gives birth to the creation of a pearl. (Truthfully, it is typically a parasite that irritates the oyster and causes the pearl thing.) With that said, would we rather be a parasite with the potential to make a pearl rather than a grain of sand that just blends in? Or, who really wants to be a pearl anyway? You just end up with a hole drilled through you hanging on a string with all the other polished up parasites.
So, what am I saying? I believe many in their Christian walk think they need to be that polished pearl. Or, they expect other Christians to always be polished and pristine. Maybe we tend to be more of a parasite because of our own pearl type self-worth of judging others? This might be the cause for many, to simply blend in as a grain of sand on the beach.
Today, know one simple thing. You never have, are not now, nor will you ever be, a simple grain of sand to God. He sees you as that perfect pearl. God loves you as that once parasite, who turned to Him, and let His love start coating and polishing you into that pearl you know you want to be. Amen and amen………………………..
