God’s Word for Today: Blame
Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Some days, the writing of God’s Word for Today, is very difficult. There are so many things I could blame this difficulty on. The daily distraction of this world could easily take the blame. The sometimes ugly reminders of past mistakes creep back into my bank account of doubts, and cause blame. Other blame factors take priority over attempts to share a Word from God.
Today, know that God erases blame through His forgiveness. He simply asks you to erase your blame through forgiveness of others and more importantly, forgiveness of yourself. Let blame fly out the window and fresh air replace it…………..
Prayer: Dear Lord, who has never had blame in His vocabulary, thank you for your forgiveness and grace. Forgive me for when I blame others for my problems. I am the one to blame. I need your help to be the one to forgive others, and to forgive myself. In Jesus’, who gave His life to accept the blame of this world, name I pray. Amen and amen.
